What is mesotherapy?
This is a procedure in which very fine needles are injected to deliver enzymes, hormones, and vitamins to your skin to tighten and rejuvenate it. This procedure was first invented in France by Dr. Michel Pistor to help relieve pain caused by medical conditions. However, later, it was used in cosmetic dermatology for fat removal (often as an alternative to liposuction).
The term “meso” means middle. This therapy is called mesotherapy because fine needles are used to deliver injections to the middle layer of your skin. The whole idea of this therapy was to treat the underlying issues, such as inflammation and poor circulation that cause skin damage
What issues are addressed by mesotherapy?
Depending on the ingredient, mesotherapy is often used for addressing a wide range of skin issues like:
- Pigmentation, age spots, and melasma
- Dullness and dryness
- Cellulite reduction
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Fat removal from the face, arms, thighs, stomach, hips, and legs
- Alopecia and thinning hair
What can I expect?
Treatment time takes approximately thirty minutes and whilst not painful, it can be slightly uncomfortable so an anesthetic cream can be used if skin is a little sensitive. With minimal downtime – a little bruising and swelling may occur but it will be short lived and should settle within 24 hours – skin will become more radiant, hydrated, nourished and firmer with an improved texture. Mesotherapy can also help to improve sluggish blood circulation, aiding the body to flush out ageing toxins. It can instantly improve dull, tired looking skin and superficial wrinkles
How many sessions do I need?
Single treatments do not give lasting results. A course of 6-8 sessions are advised every two weeks with maintenance treatments 1-2 times a year.
What are the benefits?
Mesotherapy can instantly improve dull, tired looking skin and superficial wrinkles but can also help to improve sluggish blood circulation, aiding the body to flush out ageing toxins.
Are there any side effects?
There may be some superficial swelling, redness and signs of tiny needle marks after treatment which will settle in 24-48 hours. This may take a little longer around the eye area so you may need a little recovery time.
A session price starts from AED 500. A package price will be calculated based on the type and number of sessions.
